To ensure compliance with regulations such as GDPR and to minimise costs, it is essential that you know what you have in storage and that you have retention policies in place to enable secure destruction at the end of the retention period.

BCDM provides secure, certified shredding services for all archive storage customers. Usually this is carried out periodically with boxes/files that have reached the end of their retention period are authorised for destruction by the customer. BCDM will then retrieve the boxes/files from storage and ensure that they are securely shredded prior to issuing a Certificate of Destruction.

All shredded waste is then sent for recycling into products such as tissue or copier paper ensuring that waste is minimised and a green solution is provided.
